The student has to appear for examination held by the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences in
each subject prescribed for respective classed both theory and practical and on passing they are
admitted to the next class. The examinations of students are conducted twice in the year i.e.
November for regular batch and in the month of April for the Odd batch.
PASSING MARKS.
The passing marks in each subject are 50% in theory and Oral/Practical or clinical separately 75%
and above marks in a subject indicates distinction in the said subject.
The Maharashtra University of Health Sciences does not employ the Grade Point average
(G.P.A.) system.
Every student shall prepare and submit 20 complete case histories 10each in the II nd and III
rd B.H.M.S. in Surgery, ENT. Ophthalmology, Dentistry, and Homoeopathic Therapeutics,
Obstertrics, Gynecology (including infant hygienic). The student also has to submit 20 complete case
histories in third & final B.H.M.S. in subject of Practice of Medicine, Organon, Homoeopathic
Materia Medica and Repertory.
As per MAHARASHTRA UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES, ORDINANCE 1/2002
Para 60.2 Grace Marks for condonation for Dental Ayurved, Unani, HOMOEOPATHY and Allied
Health Sciences Faculties only. Where an examinee is failing in only one head of passing having
passed in all other heads of passing without using grace marks under section 60.1 of this ordinance,
his/her deficiency of marks in such head of passing may be condoned by awarding 5 grace marks or
up to 5% of the maximum marks of that head of passing subject to the following conditions :
a) For Dental & Allied Health Sciences faculties these grace marks should not exceed 5.
b) For Ayurved, Unani & HOMOEOPATHY faculties these grace marks should not
exceed 10.
c) Provided further that the benefit of gracing of marks under this provision shall be
applicable only if the candidate passes the entire examination.
There was no provision of A.T.K.T.(Allowed to Keep Terms) from first B.H.M.S. to
Final B.H.M.S. up to 2008.
The A.T.K.T. rule has become applicable from May/June 2008 as per University
Notification No.23/2008.This is to certify that Dr.-------------- was a bonafide student of this college during the period
